James L. Lowe, AIFD, CFD was born and raised in a family flower shop in Minot, ND.  His design education started on the job and was rounded out by classes with some of the world’s best teachers in Western and European floral design.   

James worked at floral shops across the US.  He was inducted in to the American Institute of Floral Designers in 2005 and was one of only two Accredited designers in the state of North Dakota.  He designed and taught classes at state level conventions, garden clubs and community events, and wholesale shows on topics ranging from party work and personal flowers to sympathy and tributes. 

James was the Past-President of Teleflora MinnDakota Educational Unit Board of Directors, a Past Representative to the Board of Directors of the North Central Region of the American Institute of Floral Designers and Past President of the North Dakota State Florists Association.  In 2014 James achieved his Certified Judge Evaluator from the American Institute of Floral Designers, an extensive series of tests to ensure that individuals Evaluating the Professional Floral Designer Evaluation unquestionably know their material!

He passed away suddenly in the Summer of 2018, and will be missed by everyone who's lives he touched.
